“Helping animals out of situations where they are abused and suffering is very rewarding. I guess I am proud to be able to tell my friends and family that I work for the RSPCA and that I’m an Inspector.”

Help Save Animals Like Alkira

Alkira was alone, starving and injured. She was locked in the bathroom at a house that had been abandoned, and was filthy with faeces, urine, rubbish and needles.

She had been left without food and water for two weeks, terrified and alone.

Poor Alkira had a broken hind leg and a deep scar around her muzzle from a rubber band being placed around her mouth. When Alkira arrived at our shelters, it was discovered that her leg was not recently broken. She had been suffering for more than two weeks and was in a huge amount of pain.

But fortunately for this gorgeous girl, our RSPCA Inspectors managed to save Alkira…

The tireless work of our Inspectors and Prosecution team means the person responsible for the terrible treatment of this poor, defenceless puppy was placed in jail and has a lifetime ban on owning an animal ever again.

It’s your support that will help us keep our Inspectors on the road – saving 5,000 animals a year from suffering like Alkira.
